Dana’s childhood dream was to be a lawyer (or so she thought). She graduated from the University of California Riverside with a B.A. in Philosophy. She went on to law school to pursue her goal of being a prosecutor, however, two years into law school she realized her true passion was human movement and motivating and helping others move efficiently and without pain.
Dana started CrossFit in 2010 at Jason Khalipa’s box CrossFit Santa Clara (now NorCal CrossFit). Six months later she earned her Level 1 and has never looked back. Before moving to the East Coast, Dana oversaw NorCal CrossFit Mountain View as the operator. She was also responsible for all things nutrition (seminars, challenges, and blogging). This passion for nutrition played a large part in Dana and her husband David’s decision to move back East to help care for the family farm in Carlisle. They are both passionate about grass fed beef and free range chickens 🙂
Dana’s favorite part of CrossFit is first and foremost the community. Anytime you meet a CrossFitter you know they work hard and will be a ton of fun. It helps that CrossFit also serves as awesome preparation for mountain biking, horseback riding, dirt biking and of course farm chores.
